Coulee Dam Bridges & Dams
• A WorldWeb.com Travel Guide to Bridges & Dams in Coulee Dam, WA, Washington State.
The Grand Coulee Dam taps the energy of the mighty Columbia River, and can be found roughly 40 miles southeast of Omak, WA. This dam was constructed during World War II, and is still the largest single power producer in the world. Tours of the plant are avilable, and on certain evenings there is a laser light show that is projected on the concrete face of the dam, which stands 550-feet high and a mile wide.
